59 Appleton Street in Boston's South End, was a complete gut renovation, down to the brick. The building had been occupied for 40 years without much upgrading over the years. My team at Renaissance took everything out of the building;
staircases, floors, walls, etc and were left with 4 brick walls across 5 floors. We then created a gorgeous 5 story single family brownstone home. It included a new roof deck, new rear patio, a balcony off of the kitchen along with 4 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and an office. Additionally we tore out the rear brick facades across 3 levels and replaced the brick with floor to ceiling glass including sliding glass doors. The impact was significant as it allowed the home to become bright and sunny.
We also installed all new plumbing, HVAC and electrical infrastructure using modern technologies, along with many modern amenities such as lighted staircases, designer lighting, security systems, Ring video intercoms, hardwood flooring throughout, designer tile and more.The home sold quickly.
